This year’s run was planned by the Office of San José Mayor Sam Liccardo, the City of San Jose, Carl Guardino, and Soul Focus Sports.

The Santa Run Silicon Valley  was founded by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. The Silicon Valley Leadership Group, founded in 1978 by David Packard of Hewlett-Packard, represents more than 375 of Silicon Valley’s most respected employers on issues, programs, and campaigns that affect the economic health and quality of life in Silicon Valley, including energy, transportation, education, housing, health care, tax policies, economic vitality, and the environment. Leadership Group members collectively provide nearly one of every four private-sector jobs in Silicon Valley.

The 2022 Santa Run Silicon Valley will benefit San Jose Aspires.

San José Aspires (SJ Aspires) was launched by San José Mayor Sam Liccardo in 2021. The program helps to provide first-generation high school students with a uniquely impactful experience by giving them access to a self-guided curriculum, supplemental college advising and guidance, and micro-scholarships as they become college and career-ready young adults.
